Gulgong Gold Experience is located on Red Hill Mining Precinct where gold was first found and is open wednesday to sunday for visitors and locals to explore and is the ideal spot to start your Gulgong holiday experience!

The Gulgong Gold Experience  has been excavated into the slopes of Red Hill and incorporates the original commissioned tile mural that was erected in 1988 depicting the gold leads of the Gulgong.  This interesting building serves as the information hub for the facility and houses detailed audio and visual displays of Gulgong’s gold history.

The time required to comfortably navigate a group through the Gulgong Gold Experience would be at least 1 1/2 hrs.  In this time you will take in the overall history of the Gulgong gold rush in the form of a video and get an insight into the  Holtermann Collection of photos with the audio display at the entrance.  Visitors will also have the opportunity to read further information on the detailed information boards.
